Village on the Harbour
Urban Waterfront Regeneration Development
The project started out as a Master’s Thesis developed by Ms. Graham-Ward (Principal) for the MArch programme at the University of Lincoln (UK) in 2012. The project focused on revitalizing the Marginal Wharf dilapidated waterfront site, which was seen to have the potential to create a link between St. David’s and the Town of St. George through an urban waterfront regeneration development. The project was further developed by Brick Verde in 2013, which was the result of significant investor interest for a mixed-use/hotel development in Bermuda. In 2014 the BLDC issued an EOI to develop the Marginal Wharf site. Brick Verde along with their sister company BSDD Group responded by submitting their proposal for consideration. Their proposal was carefully evaluated and successfully passed the evaluation process, ultimately being shortlisted as one of the finalists to be awarded the development rights. Towards the end of 2016 the BLDC cancelled the EOI/RFP and subsequently put the development for Marginal Wharf/Ships Wharf on hold until further notice.
